the second day of christmas

The following is our Christmas/New Years letter we're sending out.

"2009 - The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good

- A new pastor - Chris [my dad] was ordained in August

- An amazing new home - found on Craigslist

- Jeremiah earning his orange belt in karate

- Great new friends and neighbors - A new puppy in the family – Sergeant Pepper “Sarge” - A wonderful congregation

The Bad

- Hot ashes started a fire at the playhouse, resulting in 3 firetrucks at our house - Our cat, Patches, lost in an icy snow blizzard for almost 24 ours on Christmas Eve

- Lula [my mom] running a red light when we traveled to St. Louis for Chris's [my dad's] graduation from the seminary.

The Ugly

- Latin lessons at church with Chris [my dad]

- Our family members during a summer of house renovations and no hot water

- "Jesus is a Friend of Mine" by Sonseed"
