Dearest northerners, would you so kindly humor me for a few minutes? It doesn't snow very often or very much here in Oklahoma, but when it does, it's magical. The biggest, fluffiest, prettiest flakes fell from a slate-colored sky and it was impossible to concentrate on anything that Wednesday morning (despite the teasing from certain individuals, cough cough).

i think it should snow more in oklahoma so you can take more of these fabulous snow pictures. love you ;)
ReplyDeletethis is lovely and JUST what a snow day should be. :)
ReplyDeletealso. we're pretty much the masters of mockery when it comes to snow days. ;)
LOVE YOU AND MISS YOUR FACE.
these photos are wonderful! so beautiful. It doesn't snow much here in little north carolina either, and I get pretty excited when it does!
ReplyDeleteyour a wizard at videos and the snow is so pretty ! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the video!!!:0 I love snow days!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to school in said North (Hello, UP Wisconsin!), but I was raised on the coast of Cali and have lived in Idaho for the past few years, so I can understand the enchantment of snowfall; how unexpected, and how lovely it is.
ReplyDeleteAnd although I've now spent an entire Winter living in ridiculous amounts of snow (it has snowed at least once a day, every day, for the past 16-17 days), I still get that same feeling of excitement and captivation every time. :)
This is just about the most beautiful thing ever.

ReplyDeleteLove the pictures and video. The snowflakes looks huge! Your younger sisters are adorable, and your cat looked so sweet! Thanks for the wonderful pictures Carlotta!
ReplyDeleteYep, here in Tennessee it rarely ever snows. So, a snow day is a magical thing indeed.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!!! Love! The first picture and the third picture are wonderful!
ReplyDeletedid you get that lovely cuckoo clock in Germany? we have one that looks very similar, so I wonder if we got one at the same place :)
ReplyDeleteI love this video though, and as a northerner I don't mind at all! It's fun to see how excited you are to have snow when I just wish it would go away.
Wonderful video, and I must ask, what's your cat's name? He/she is one of the most beautiful cats I've ever seen!
Yeah, the clock was my great-grandmother's and my mom brought it over from Germany this past summer. And my cat is named Pippa. She's the sweetest.
DeleteAhhhh!!!! This is absolutely gorgeous! I live where there's snow 8 months out of the year and yet this makes me want to experience a snow day like that. The video was absolutely stunning, breathtaking, and I am enchanted.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, dear carlotta. this is beautiful. you are beautiful
ah. that video was so lovely. although i must admit that living in canada, we get these kind of snows in november! :)
ReplyDeletewe've had more snow days up here in cold, cold new hampshire than i can count on two hands. although i must admit i tend to take them for granted now, your pictures are beautiful and so fun and happy :)
ReplyDeletexx.
Carlotta, that video is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. I LOVE it. It was so sweet to see your sister's little eyeballs gazing out the window at the snow. adorable.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get snow here. I can imagine that it'd be lovely, and that all I'd want to do is gaze out the window with a cup of tea in hand and a notebook nearby, or go dance in the snowflakes with my siblings. :))
Blessings!
~Madi
What an exquisite little film. I wish we were getting some of that snow here in North Carolina...!
ReplyDeleteLove this. And okay, I must admit that actually looks like a pretty decent snow day. But like Hannah said, we are the masters of mockery when it comes to snow days. So don't expect me to say that again.
ReplyDeleteLove you tons.
this is absolutely gorgeous. i wish that we had more snow days around here--they're something i cherish.

MAGIC IS IN THESE PICTURES.
ReplyDeleteso enchanting! hating texas weather right now. ;)
ReplyDeletemmm, I lovelovelove snow soooo much. good ol' Texas doesn't allow much of it, though. *sigh* it's nice to live vicariously through favorite bloggers. ;)
ReplyDeleteAll of that snow is beautiful! I cannot remember the last time I've seen snow fall like that.
ReplyDeleteAhh so beautiful! Snow makes me so happy, especially the whimsical way you capture it. Truly lovely. <3
ReplyDeleteI am now a Northerner (a Chicagoan) but I spent most of my childhood on coast of NC. Snow rarely came, and when it did, it was a cause for celebration! You captured the excitement well. :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh I LOVE that video you made! So magical!
ReplyDeleteWow, I wish I could imagine what it's like to have it actually snowing like that, outside of my house. But I can't...guess that's what come of being an Australian.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous video and LOVE Me Me's pink snow suit!! :D
gorgeous shots and video, carlotta. would you believe we got snow here in mesa, for the first time in ten years, just a few days ago? it was a blast. :) xx
ReplyDeleteAh, that first picture is so Narnia-esque, I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteYou make snow look magical to me - quite a feat, considering white is all I've seen outside every window for the past three and a half months.
