listen: tea with cinnamon by katzenjammer
One of my favorite things about blogging are the friendships that are made. There is nothing quite like finding a kindred spirit. Though we've never had the pleasure of meeting, Abbey and I are soul sisters (almost scarily so, actually) and she does nice things like send me (long, very wonderful) letters and the most amazing tea. There's something special about getting something in the mail with your name in handwriting made familiar through myriad letters. Snail mail will forever trump email and the friendships made through blogging will always be some of the most cherished.

(yes I am totally commenting even though I'm on a blog fast just because I love you two and I love this and I loved my merry cranberry tea and rad letter from abbey and this is beautiful okay okay the end)
ReplyDeleteAww... Carlotta, this is so sweet! My soul sister is Grace from Grace's Garden Walk. She sends long letters with packages of teas too :) Your pictures are so brilliant, m'dear.

ReplyDeleteI have a question. how do you keep a balance between investing in your relationships with the friends you see every day, and the friends you've met online?
xx.

ReplyDeleteThat handwriting is marvelous, and this idea of cinnamon in tea is superb -- going to try it ASAP!
ReplyDeleteYou never cease to make me smile, sis. That really is a beautiful tea when you look closely at it. I think I'll go make some now. But thanks for this. And for reading my pages (upon pages) of rants and feelings and I don't even know what else. You're the best.
ReplyDeleteYour photography is beautiful! I love these kinds of friendships too :)

ReplyDeleteThat was reall sweet of your friend! How thoughtful. Also, you composed your pictures very beautiful, just like always. ;-) I'm not even kidding, but I just made myself a cup of cinnamon-apple tea - but it just tastes like warm water. Does your tea taste good at least?
