In an attempt to pinpoint what exactly I want to pursue, my mom encouraged me to compose a list of things that I'm interested in. I quickly discovered that I'm much better at thinking of things that I don't like...it's quite humorous, really. So far the things-I-don't-like list involves everything that calls for math or science, which knocks out a whole slew of occupations...but I haven't gotten much farther than that.
But I have found something that I know that like: spring! Oh, it re-instills such a wonderful zest for life (sun! flowers! green! open windows! yay!). At the moment, signs of spring aren't too prominent, but they're there if you look hard enough. And on Sunday we're back to daylight savings time and I'm so looking forward to an extra hour of sun in the evenings.
It looks like I'm out of luck, though, because they've told me that lover-of-spring isn't a proper occupation...
Oh well. Here, have a daffodil anyway.

mm, love this. spring has arrived in arizona, and i couldn't be happier with the warm (yet cool for us) weather. great shots + lovely words, c.
ReplyDeleteadorable.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! I love all the pictures!! Your shoes are really cute by the way!!
ReplyDeletecute. love this. adore.
ReplyDelete[ i want to be friends ]
I am soo looking forward to Spring too! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm horrible at thinking of ways I want to spend the rest of my life. Everyone is pressing down on me and other people of my age, saying, "You've got to take the right courses to get into the right school to work at the right job to have the right life and have the right money." If I hear another adult advising me to go into medicine or science, I might blow.
ReplyDeleteThese photos, though, they are a springtime retreat from the madness. We certainly don't receive springs like yours here in eastern Canada, so these frames are much, much appreciated.
i'm starting a club called the spring club where we circle the globe cataloguing and living in successive springs. and you can be president.
ReplyDeletecareer problem?
solved.
I love this Hannah! :) ^^^ Can I be in the spring club? ;)
Deletehi, i'm in. :)
DeleteYou're wearing shorts.. and I'm wearing a scarf and boots here. NOT FAIR.
ReplyDeleteah, spring. it will take a while for it appear up here in the north, but surely the grass will turn green at some point ;) love this post, it fills me with happy thoughts.
ReplyDeletep.s. so i've always wondered....cisternas, your last name? middle name?
cisternas is my middle name, yes! :)
Deletei wondered about this for the LONGEST time, too. ;) what does cisternas mean? it's so pretty...
DeleteI'm not sure what it means, but it's the last name belonging to some of my relatives in Chile. :)
DeleteIs it actually Spring near you? Still feeling like winter kinda here. Spring is great though! I prefer it in the North though, in the South it kinda just skips spring and goes straight to a humid and sticky summer...
ReplyDeletehahaha oh my word you're so cute. I keep wearing knee-length skirts whenever I get a chance, but it's still chilly enough that I have to pair them with tights and a scarf. SEND ME SOME SPRING. aahhspringismyfavorite. wellyouaremyfavoritetoookay.
ReplyDeletei'm ready for spring too.
ReplyDeleteLove this. I love spring so much. Mostly, I'm looking towards summer though when all my college classes will be OVER and I can focus once again on finishing highschool.
ReplyDeleteAlso your shorts are the cutest.
love this, girl. :) i've never been particularly fond of spring; mostly because where we live in Arizona, it's dry and windy. and dry. did i mention dry? anyway. ;) this is lovely, dearie! also, your shorts are awesome-sauce. seriously. :) and can i just say, i know what you mean? it's SO much easier to find things we DON'T like, than things we do. ha. ;) but loving those spring-ey pictures. this is lovely. x
ReplyDeletelove spring soso much! even though we didn't have much of a winter here (sort of an awkward, dead stage of barrenness with no cold weather to match), i'm ready for spring to fully come. not just warmer weather, but flowers and soft grass and sweet air and gentle breezes. AH.
ReplyDeleteLove this! It may not be a proper occupation, but man I wish it was easier to make things we love to do into a career.
ReplyDeleteDream big, work hard.
I'm looking forward to spring because it's always freezing cold and wet!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis post is so fun! And I'm totally jealous of your shorts-wearing. Oh yes. If only spring was an occupation! :)
ReplyDeletei'm so pumped for spring weather! i can't believe you can wear shorts already! I'm thoroughly envious.
ReplyDeleteohhh goodness i can't tell you how excited i am for daylight savings, and spring in general! i'm so jealous of your shorts weather it's not even funny.
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE WEARING SHORTS THAT'S NOT EVEN FAIR. while it's cold and rainy in England, you're getting the sun and smelling flowers and feeling warmth and plus, you've got a brother with an adorable hair-do.
ReplyDeletehaha, oh I definitely agree with you on the math genre. Well, actually I love math and science but I'm not super skilled at them, so, bleh. and I can't believe you're wearing shorts. ugg. also, your little bro's hair is awesome.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, let me just say: Your brother's hair? Totally rad.
ReplyDeleteThis morning is was about 37 then, by late afternoon, 65 degrees.
The REAL (and constant) warm weather better get a move-on ;)
Yeah... I'm not planning on doing anything with math and/or science either.
xo
Spring is the best season of the year. Enjoy it, Carlotta!
ReplyDeleteOh, and cute orange shorts by the way! :)
SPRING. YAY FOR SPRING. I also love your shorts and shoes. Super cute. :)
ReplyDeletefavorite. :)
ReplyDeletea teacher at my school spoke highly of being a "perpetual reader." occupation idea? perhaps. :) I know you'll find something you just LOVE. :D
ReplyDeleteCan we talk about how you're wearing super cute shorts and I'm up here in iowa like "Coat on again; where is my third pair of socks"? Super jealous. But, this is a beautiful post and makes me want spring so much more.
